I get a thrill from painting two of man’s most exciting inventions ~ airplanes and automobiles. Having attended lots of fly-ins, air shows and museums, and having had a dad in the aviation field, I was hooked on the wonder of flight from an early age.
Attending vintage auto races with friends, as well as team-efforts at restoring classic cars (while listening to recorded F-1 sounds) led to lots of fun photos, some of which I’ve interpreted into paintings. Zoom, zoom!
I also love painting moving water . . . from powerful, frothy waterfalls to the reflective surfaces of slowing moving creeks. My appetite for painting in nature began while living in Washington state, based on family camping trips and feeling like a kid again, wading in clear mountain streams.
